Woman, Book, Sofa: Heaven


I hadn't heard of the Swedish-Finnish painter Albert Edelfelt (1854-1905) until I came upon this watercolor by chance. Such a small, soft, informal painting; such an ordinary, and yet luminous, moment in a woman's life.
